It is 363 days since Marc and I started our travels and our One World flights home expire in 48 hours. This was to be the end of our travels, but neither of us could bring ourselves to stop. So many months ago, we resolved to ignore the return flights and continue on for a further six months, or for as long as Marc´s additional funds would last.

However, the thought of the return flights going to waste was too much for me. So I am currently sitting in the departure lounge of Buenos Aires International Airport, having left Marc happily settled in town learning Spanish. I am popping home for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends, then returning here for Marc and I to start travelling around South America.

The plan at the moment (what there is of one), involves getting to Mexico (possibly via parts of Argentina, Patagonia, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Cuba), in time for the December vanilla harvest that interests me, then flying back home from there. It may change again, you never know. That´s part of the fun isn´t it!

Isn´t life fantastic!!!!

So glad to hear you are both okay and continuing your adventures! If you do decide to keep on going from Mexico, know that there is always a place for you to stay in Seattle :)

!!
Your travels are incredible! I'm glad you've decided to keep going (and use one of the return tickets!) When you get a chance please send me an email so that I have your email address please! I left your AMAZING card in my CHile/Easter Island book, which is now home in California, whereas I am far away in Budapest, and want to write you! I also think I gave you the wrong address to my blog, so I want to email you the correct address! Safe travels! Hannah

Amazing trip!
Hi Emma and Marc - Has it really been a year?! Reading your blogs and seeing your pictures has been wonderful up to yet, I'm sooo glad your staying the pace for another 6 months - it makes my working day considerably more worthwhile - who ever says day dreaming is not a viable pastime, needs to read your travel blogs... I look forward to hearing of many more adventures. Although I doubt you'll have the time, do mail me or call if you can while in UK Em, as I'd love to have a catch up!! The girls are both fine and Barry qualifies as a Fire-Fighter today so I'm very proud of him! Well must get back to the daily chores... Lots of love to you both, thinking of you and hope you carry on having a fantastic time XXXXX

Dear Emma and Marc, Great to read that you are seizing the moment and exploring South America. What an exciting part of the world and a very sensible idea for Marc to learn the lingo. Enjoy your trip home and give my love to Anne and family. Julia and I send our love as we embark on a move to and a new job in Berlin. We hope to see you somewhere in the world and some time. Aufwiedersehen and Hasta la vista Mark and Julia XX
