Bubblegum Bliss

This incident gets its own blog. I'll tell you what, I had one of the coolest things happen today. My last day in Amsterdam proved to be very enchanting. I took a leisurely stroll through the markets, sent off a few postcards, gathered some lovely chocolate and sat people watching in Dam square when all of a sudden Dun. Dun. Dunnnnnnnn...

A Very Hot Pink, icecream truck looking thingy, braked in the road, a few feet in front of me to miss a car. The 2 story oddity creaked and the top half of the truck came crashing to the ground only to explode into millions of florescent gum-balls. This pseudo Pinyata brought hundreds of children screaming diving into the magical candy. I was swarmed up into the excitement. I laughed hysterically as I snapped some photos while shoveling sweet gum-balls into my mouth. I was smiling so intensely at this experience that the gum lasted only minutes.

God, how contagious was this enchanting day. The children laughing, tourists running to the action to snap photos, every police officer standing, mouths full of accidental happiness (Gum) directing children and traffic but not before helping the kids fill their bags full.

Cheers to being exuberantly, magically, innocently and in every way enchanted!
