You’ve guessed it I’m still in Cairns and still enjoying the sunshine and partying, but progress has been made and me & Nicole have taken the plunge and booked our campervan for tomorrow to start the road trip. I’m going to miss this place as I’ve met some fantastic people, but I have to get moving!
On Monday a few of us from the Hostel went on a snorkelling and diving trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. It was amazing and as you can see from the pictures, we all looked “hot” in our masks and wetsuits!!! Unfortunately I’ve had a sore throat and ear ache for a couple of days, so I couldn’t do a full dive. I got down about 2metres before my ear felt like it was going to explode. I went up and down about 4 times and kept equalising (basically blowing air out of your ears, like when they pop), but no luck, so much to my annoyance it was back to the snorkelling. But hey I’ve still got to visit Whitsundays and Fiji yet, so hopefully I’ll get another chance! Then monday night it was out on the town again and for some

Very Drunk bizarre reason at 3.30am we decided to play “Playground Olympics.” As you can see from the video this consisted of tearing around a playground in the quickest possible time. Needless to say I have one or two bruises this morning, but it was very amusing. Once again it was a late night and bedtime arrived at 6.40am!!!
So after the crazy Monday night, last night was an early one and I was tucked up in bed at midnight, but I have to say I feel worse for it today, maybe my body is having alcohol withdrawal! Tonight is mine and Nicole’s last night. We collect the campervan at 10.30 and then the road trip starts. The scary thing is we have no idea where we are going, other than south! But hey where is the fun in planning a road trip lets just see where we end up. All I know is that we will be in Sydney for 12th June as its Nicole’s birthday, so we aim to be there for a bit of a party. Good news too, I’ve become really good friends with 4 Irish girls, Cheryl, Corona (sisters), Ciara and Julie, and they’ve also decided
to do the same road trip and they set off on Sunday, so no doubt we will hook up with them in a few days time further down the coast. So if anyone comes across 2 campervans with 6 crazy girls on the east coast of Australia, that will be us!
Not much else to report at this stage, so Ciao for now!x
