So I forgot to mention that 2 weeks ago I was in an accident. I was riding the bus to the city and our crazy bus driver hit a BMW. I'm not really surpised since people here drive like maniacs. Anyways, we were on the short bus so it was a pretty rough impact. Unfortunatly for me I have long legs and the seats are Asian sized, meaning my legs already dig into the seat in front of me. So with the impact my knees were crushed into the seat in front of me. I didnt notice much and nothing would keep me from shopping. So I ignored the dull pain. The past week the pain has been worse but I was like I'm just being a wimp. But it got so bad where it hurt to stand during class and to go up stairs. I asked a teacher about going to the doctor yesterday, so after her workshop she took me to the hospital.

We walked in at 3:47pm. I filled out a half page redistration sheet, paid the $1.50 regestration fee and headed straight up to the orthopedic surgeons office. They dont mess around here. He sent me right over to Radiology for x-rays. I had 6 x-rays of both my knees, the got the film and they put in on the computer and send it immeadiatly to the doctors computer. We walk right back to the doctor and he looks at them and says they are fine. Then he checks out the muscles and stuff and says when we hit the car, my muscles and bones collided making the muscles inflamed and swollen and painful. He said no hiking or stairs for 1-2 months. I can handle the hiking part but seriously I teach on the 3rd floor and we ONLY have stairs, so I will just take it easy. He perscribed me 3 different meds, 2 for pain and 1 for my stomach in case the other 2 upset my stomach. He gives me the receipt and I head back down to pay for everything......$7 USD. Yeah you read that right, an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, 6 x-rays and my 3 meds. So after I pay I head to the pharmacy to pick up the meds, they were there waiting for me. The time they were filled.....4:07. Twenty minutes after I walked into the hospital. I walked out of the hospital at 4:10 and only $8.50 poorer. I am all for national healthcare, bring it on. Their machines are as good and better than ours and it is much cheaper and much faster. I think to myself why am I coming home again????

sorry to hear that you got hurt.
You might say that if you wanted to do a can-can, you can't-can't.
