on a free 4x4 tour the first morning
This is one of my favourite places I have visited, it is amazing! A lot of people miss the places out, it only has 120 beds for backpackers. The town itself is tiny: 1770 has a population of 80 and Agnes Waters of 2000. There is so much to do here, and its all really cheap as it is so uncommercial. We arrived late about 6 in the evening, stayed for 2 nights getting the night bus to Airlie Beach....an adventure in itself being dropped at an unlit 'bus stop' gravelled area with the bus driver making wolf creek jokes until the coach arrived!

We recieved a free tour of the town in the morning, which was good but it seemed like other pretty towns we had seen! but then that aftrenoon, we got to ride some Choppers (they werent the massive ones but they were really fun!) where we rode round the roads, stopped to watch the sunset over the water (very rare on the east coast!) and then ride back. It was really really fun and better than anywhere else that would do it!

The next day was one of the highlights that we have done

Looks like a childs bike but it wasnt i promise! lol!
so far! We went in a 1 1/2 hour plane ride over 1770 and agnes water (for only $65 too!) and it only held 3 passengers, one of the front each time, as we landed on a beach half way through, and on the flight out, I was upfront and I got to fly the plane! haha, it was so scary but so cool! I was making it turn and everything! cant believe it! He kept doing lots of dips and turns and it very exciting but scary and when we landed i was sick lol (although quite impressively it was my first bout of travel sickness this entire trip!). We then milled around this beach that you can only get to by boat or plane, and got to sit on the plane wings and stuff! Bruce the pilot also put a crab in lauras hair, and then had to dunk her head in the sea to get it out! lol! Then when we went back, Laura was in the front and got to take off, she was very good at it! lol! It was all in all amazing! I FLEW A PLANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway, this town is awesome, and

Rare on the east coast to get a sunset over water!
sadly it has just had its first major supermarket (tesco equivalent) comssioned, which I think is sad, as it will now get built up like the other towns and lose all its charm! I really hope it resists and stays like it is now!

right you are now up to date! We are in Airlie beach but I only arrived this morning so not much to report, except that i will be spending my birthday here! (a birthday in Australia cant be too bad!)

p.s. I jus read this through and realised I sound like a very excited child! lol!
