We arrived in Ulan Baator at 7.30am after a three day/four night train ride and in desperate need of a shower (trust me I would not spend more than 4 mins in those toilets...). We were met by our guide and whisked off to a hotel to use their bathroom (one big shower room with the world's largest bath) one for the girls and one for the boys. We met 3 english people (yes we escaped the australians for once...) Troy and Mary and Ali who were all very nice (had to say that in case they read this.... ;-) ). After a refresh and a shower we head out for a guided tour of the capital of Mongolia (smaller than your average capital but basking in sunshine and the warmest temperatures we had experienced for sometime (i think it was around minus 2 we headed to the Ganden Monestary to see the tallest Golden budda statue - no photo not allowed...
That afternoon we headed to our new home for the next few nights - Ger Camp. After what seemed like a drive into the middle of nowhere we arrived at the Ger Camp. The only heating these
Ger's had was a stove in the middle so being about minus 5 I was pretty worried, but i was wrong they were so warm and cosy, lovely and peaceful after the hussle and bussle of the train.

Question about the Ger
The exterior of Mongolian gers always look extremely clean (I have seen some dirty ger in other countries). It is not made from cloth, isn't it?
