Well, I passed my final language test with a rank of Intermedio Alto. PC requires a level of Intermedio Medio so I made it by ok. I came to Ecuador with the rank of Principal Medio so I jumped 4 levels. What does this mean....nothing - I still have trouble hearing the language and I still have trouble making fluid speech, but I am doing ok. If you wanted me to say something like...I would have gone to the store, but they wouldn´t let me go - then it would take about 5 minutes for me to look up the appropriate verb tense. The good thing is...even if I use the wrong tense, people understand what I am saying.

Hey Jeremy! Keep working at the language and don't get too frustrated! You have the upper-hand just being immersed into a country where it is spoken and you also have the benefit of the local exposure to the languages and their culture! You are quite lucky and trust in time... it will come! Especially the verb tenses... but before you know it... it will hopefully just click! Best of luck to both of you! Take Care! Paz!!
