I have spent the last two days exploring the temples and complexes collectively known as Angkor Wat. What a trip! A person could easily spend weeks at this.
The ruins, orginally built in the 9th to 13th centuries, are spread out over many many kilometers and are surrounded by forests, fields, villages and aggressive but friendly vendors of every variety. There were times when I was dodging crowds of people and other times when I had a whole temple to myself.
Here is a quick sample of photos as the internet connection is slow.
Off to Phnom Penh tomorrow.
