We finally got to a beach, but not before some drama.......leaving India we left behind Sean and Fiona, for they had some passport issues, ( frecking Irish, so unorganized) anyways we boarded a late plane to Singapore, knowing it was an overnight one, but we wouldnt get much sleep....we didnt, and then got to the singapore airport to wait for 9 hours until our flight to Manila left....but to see how new and clean it is in singapore was a breath of fresh air...

So going on 24 hours no sleep we boarded the next flight to manila, and once in manila we were going to connect to the Cebu flight that left 1 and half hours after we landed, assuming we would have plenty of time....we landed in Clark airport...asking ok were is the domestic terminal when does our flight leave...customs lady says to me "no flights to cebu here tonight" it was at this time where some pieces to the puzzle started to come together, the cebu flight was in manila...we thought they were the same, so we go out side quickly to ask about a cab to the other airport.....they start quoting $50US, we are outraged, no way, you have got to be kidding...but with little time to make a decision, we got in and started for the other terminal.....any idea the distance to the other terminal?????? we didnt know either until we found it was in Manila..still thinking no worries he will have to drive fast is all.....and then the dreaded distance sign popped up....68km's to manila. Unreal, April freaks out on the guy saying you knew we wouldnt make it and this is bullshit...so after a 2 hour cab, you guessed it we missed our flight and had to approach the Cebu Pacific office to see our next step...this is now 10:30pm the next day without sleeping at all and the guys says you can get the next flight ( for a fee) at 5:00am in the morning......good news bad news at this point, glad we didnt pay it all to get another full flight, but now we have to decide do we get a place to stay for a few hours, after not sleeping for over 24 hours now....answer ...no place to stay, didnt look, we had come this far and dropped nearly 80 extra dollars to get to the airport and changes tickets so no hotel..... sat outside the airport for 7 hours waiting to board....did I mention no real food in a while!!! no food no sleep makes a bad combo for all women and april is no exception ( please Buddha dont let her read this)

So we get to Cebu at 6:00am and instead of going to a place to crash we say head to an island...this entailed, a bus ride 2 hours, sandwiched between april by the window and the biggest philippino woman I have seen so far, and both april and my legs jammed in to the back of the seat in front of us, while the bus stopped every 2 minutes because it was a local bus...then off that onto a ferry for 30 minutes, and into a tricycle to take us to a place to stay...do you think anyone has any rooms, OFCOURSE not this is HOLY week and they are fanatical about Catholicism so the place we choose turns out to be the holiest in the Philippines and has been booked for a year in advance......as my grandma used to say, if we didnt have bad luck we would have had no luck at all....

So there we were 36 degrees, no food, no place to stay , and no sleep in about 38 hours....Annoyed????slightly....finally this lady felt so bad she rented us her room in her own house, she doesnt normally do that , but she could tell we needed it.....we got two days out of her and then we had to move on.
Now we are in Moalboal and enjoying life again.....caught up on sleep and had a chance to sample some 50 cent San Miguel's.....

waiting for Sean and Fi and then moving on again, but the weather is great now, the food is super and the beer is cheap, cant complain anymore...who would listen????
