We left our Buenos Aires hotel at 11:30 AM and drove about 30 minutes to the EZE international airport. Our flight departed around 5 PM for Santiago, Chile. Going over the Andes we got some very interesting pictures. In Santiago we had to take all our hand luggage, leave the airplane, go through security again, wait one hour for our flight and then reboard for the 11 hour flight to Toronto. Most of our group were able to get some sleep on the flight. It was remarkable in that over the Gulf of Mexico we had mild turbulence continuously until we got over Florida and then started heading north. Once over land the flight was much smoother. What was remarkable during this time of the flight were the number of people who either didn't understand or chose to ignore the pilot when he turned on the seat belt sign, which means due to the turbulence you should be in your seat with your seat belt done up. They had to come on the microphone about 4 times to ask passengers to remain in their seats until the seat belt sign is turned off, and yes they announced it in English, French, and Spanish.

Getting into Toronto at 6 AM Toronto time we had to pick up our luggage and clear customs. This was great because we had nothing to do until our 8 AM flight and this meant when we arrived in Vancouver we could just grab our luggage and go home. The 10th and final leg of our journey was a pretty quiet flight as most people were still tired from the earlier long flight or were a little tired from the hectic activities of the past two weeks. The flight arrived in Vancouver a few minutes earlier then scheduled and as always, no matter how wonderful your trip and experience has been, there is something very, very special about flying into Vancouver and knowing you are home. To see the girls re-united with the families is always a great sight to see.

In a few days the immediacy of the trip will begin to fade as the reality of your daily life takes precedence, but the memories, the activities and events shared and the stories will last a lifetime.

A very special thank you to Lynn for all her help and Anna and Albert for all there support in making these past two weeks a truly enjoyable experience for all the girls. Rumour has it the plans for next years adventure are already underway.
