half way..

Hello from New Zealand.. half way through my trip..!!!


Fraser Island was amazing.. lots of 4 wheel driving.. very friendly people.. swam in freshwater lakes, in creeks and swimming pools. Great food, saw some dingoes, wnet on raintree walks.. played a ring of fire drinking game... but didn't drink much - the leader called it goon - cheap alochol..!! As if!
Such an amazing place - the most beautiful in Aussie so far!

So was met by Sian and her friend Damien off the ferry weds night and went and stayed in Maryborough.

Thrus drove to Noosa via Sian's Nan and her husband Noel. Great to meet a family and stay in a house not a hostel! Stopped off at markets and then had lunch in Hastings Street at the Noosa surf club.

Saw Sian's work - the J, and the beach, and a lookout spot.

Watched Neighbours in Australia.. which was very very cool.. and Susan and Karl were in London getting married on a boat on the Thames.. and the vicar was Neil Morrisey.. how weird is that!!


Friday went to Montville which is a great town, very beautiful.. then to a winery for lunch.. and a beautiful cheese board. Too bad Sian was driving.. but I still managed to try a fair few...!!

Went to the Ginger Factory full of all things ginger.. and had some proper ginger beer!!

Hit Sunrise surf club fri night for a few drinks.. and a free bus home.

Saturday went to Eumundi to see the markets and look around the town. Then watched Wazza (Sian's fiance) play Auzzie Rules which is a very weird game .. like Irish/Celtic football... like neball, footablll, rugby all combined... fun though!!

Drove back to Brissy via the coast and stopped at some beaches - Mooloolaba and so on.

Sat night dinner with Sian's parents

Sunday a very early start to be at the aiport for 6:45am.. A jetstar flight and they didn't feed me!

New Zealand at 4pm today - staying in an hotel which is great - tour starts here at 7:30am tomorrow so was easier!!

Wish I was there...
...in lovely NZ. What's the weather like out there at the mo? Is it sunny? My friend from there said that Feb is the best weather month - we're pretty close to that so I just wondered... Tell me all about it on your return. Miss those beautiful mountains and all the space! Life in London is good. Really nice day today. Listening to music and trying to sort out the website. Also trying to work out a sensible budget so I can afford to go to gigs and stuff. Might have to live on soup or tinned tomatoes for a while. Enjoy yourself anyway! *H*x
