Hey sorry I haven’t updated for a while the Internet was really expensive on koh Tao.

So we arrived on the island of koh Tao that is renowned for its diving courses. We found a nice diving resort to stay at whilst we learned how to dive, the first course you take is an 18 meter open water dive.
My first dive was amazing we descended a rope about 10 meters or so and sat on the sea bed whilst we practiced clearing our masks of water and just getting used to breathing through a regulator, fish circled around us curious to know what we were doing, there was lots of colorful coral and many different species of fish, I just loved it I highly recommend anyone brave enough to try diving, its wonderful although I cant imagine it would be this, (or anytime of year) in the North Sea!!! BBBrrrrrrrrrr.....
I passed my 18 meter open water dive and decided to take the advanced course which required me to do another 5 dives. One of which a night dive in the dark, another a 30 meter dive. James wasn’t well so I did this one alone, it was great fun and I made friends with a guy from Cape Town Africa, who later became my dive buddy.
We saw a meter long Barracuda on the night dive and when waved my hand in front of me the Plankton in the water lit up bright blue it was magic in the dark!!!

The 30meter dive we took a couple of eggs with us once we had leveled 30meters we cracked open the eggs, the yolk was so dense you could bounce it in your hand and squeeze it like a ball and it didn’t break due to the pressure.

I loved this diving experience and Koh Tao it was beautiful, I have a video of us diving so I can show you it on my return!

We left Koh Tao on 22nd March on a old wooden "night" boat, our luggage was taken and placed in the hold of the boat.
We made our way up a small wooden ladder and crouched through a low door frame to discover where about we were sleeping for the night!
Mattresses lined tightly together on each length of the cabin, it slept 50 people as the places were numbered above each pillow.
The Ceiling was low so James was almost crawling to his bed! It was kind of cozy I suppose something I would never have imagined existed!!
Definately an experience!
I will try and write up to date when I get another opportunity.
Right now I have to go and look after my boyfriend as he has a bad headache,
until next time take care x
