Cairns and down the coast..!

fruistly MJP hoep you got to US ok.. and your blog is now in japanese or soemthign for me.. (not the actual blog but the bit that asks you enter password and commenst) so as I am not fluent with that I am sturgglign to say hello on your site.. but anyhow glad you got there safe and first few days are gogin well. Say hi to USA GSE for me, esp Mariah. thanks.

Well my last day in Sydney was spent climbign the bridge.. 3 days before her 75th birthday. And she was onyl supposed to last 6 months.. I then went on a coffee cruise for 2 1/2 hours all aroudn the bay. Tehn it was flight time!! Lots of stufy business guys on the flight from sydney to brisssy..

Sian was at the airport to meet me, before the luggage claim, which was brillaitn. So great to see her, she's looking fab and HUGE congratulatiosn as she is noe engaged to Wazza. Wedding in Nov.. Michie will be popping back..!!

Anyhow Oz doens't have fosters the larger, it has fosters the corporation.. How weird is that!!!

So I satyed with Sian and family in Strat5hpine outside of brissyc entreal. Thurs night we wnet to Mt somehtign (I will check!!) a local pashign spot.. and enjoyed the view of the city.

Friday was a trip around Brissy, along southbank, in the mall, to the modern art gallery (weird!), and pub lunch Then a cat cruise up and down the river to see soem more sights. Birs has a fake beach on southbank which is great!

Saturday we wnet to surfers paradise on the gold coast... my fave beach in the world so far!! Great to swim in, very good water, no seaweed etc, calmish ocean.. waves not too big!! Had suchi for lunch which I haven't had for ages. Holidays all abotu doing things differnet methinks..!

Sunday we went to a local village market, very trad aboriginal.. I will also check the name of it! And then to Oceans View winery to see Sian's wedign venue whioch was beautiful. After went to alma Park botanical gardens and zoo park.. and I go to stroke koalas and feed Roos..

Then to the aiport again! I sat next to a pilot.. not the pilot but a man who flys palnes.. just he was a passenger today. So I felt very comfotabel abotu flying, and he laughed when we hit turblunace. Got lots of extra flyign info from him (never knew his anme!!) like we flew through rain and it was looking horizontal - you coudl see it against the light on the end of the plane's wing!

Taxi to Gillignas, and driver guessed where I wanted to go.. Its the main hiostel here! He is also a singer as well as taxui driver so we sang sinatra in the car..

As soon as I got in my room before I even put my bag down two very hot Azzie men dragged me down to the bar.. Luke and James, and genreally looked after me! A very friendly place, great people. Hostel is great althgouh i do think it is trying to get peopel to hook us too much.. all the beds aer queen size,a nd the seats in the bars are propers beds too....!

Today, Mon I slept in, then booked all my thigns for the next 10 days. Meeting up with Sian next Weds
