My random thoughts of England

Well hi everyone.

Its been a while since our last update as we really havent been doing anything to spectacular. Just working hard and sleeping really. So to break the boredom a little bit i have compiled a rather silly list of things that i find interesting or wierd in England.

- The Police do not carry guns.
- Fosters is actually a very nice beer, which is odd because it is so disliked in Australia
- The entire country is completely unable to function if it snows. The weather man can say its gonna snow for a week but the entire country always seems to be in shock when it snows. Then nobody goes to work.
-It is almost impossible to cross the road outside the pub without almost being killed.
- Everyone here is a maniac on the road and always has one hand on the horn. I honestly think they like the sound.
- I have become quite the soccer (football here) expert. My adopted team West Ham is currently 10 points from safety. They are in the relegation zone which means they will drop out of the premiership if they dont start winning. I can talk to any local like i have followed them all year.
- The Whyte Harte is manned by 2 Australians, 2 South Africans, 2 Indians, 1 Brazilian. Quite a team 😊
- The Brazilian (Rodrigo) doesnt speak much english and most of the time i think he has no idea what i am saying but he says yes anyway.
- People upon hearing my accent love to remark on the one day series defeat of Australia but then i proceed to ask them what the ashes score was.
- England goes smoke free on 1 July (Hey i said it was random information)
- TV is not free over here. You pay over £100 a year for having a tv.
- However i would have to say free TV is much better over here. If you get a digital box (which we have) you can view over 100 channels (most of which are crap)

Ahhhh random information. Gotta love the mother country. haha. Glad to hear you guys are still alive and pouring beers is still going swell. It is still ridiculously hot here and uni is shite. I'll will write an email one of these days. Take care. Brit xx
