Mr. Kuhn!

So, yesterday I began my 4 week practicum at a high school in Dapto ( a nearby suburb) called Kanahooka High. It sounds made up, but its totally true!

I am delivering my first lesson tomorrow on debating. I have never really done debating, so this should be interesting. I am teaching a grade 7 English class- here High School starts in year 7.

A few interesting things:

* My supervising teacher is funny and can not seem to get my name straight- I have been introduced as Mr Kee-yawn, Mr. Mac-Kewan, Mr Coon and Mr Quinn. Hilarious.

* There was a fight yesterday, and all of the teachers ran to watch just like the students do....

Things are generally good here too- roommates are still awesome. Some friends and I are planning an awesome road trip for Easter Break (we get a week off) so we are heading down to Melbourne and Adelaide. Some potential highlights include some crazy music festival (Ben HArper and John Mayer) a surf competition, Kanagroo Island and Bells Beach!

I also just got a care package from the Mountain Residence Life STaff- totally made my week! I have already put it up in my room and I have posted the picture here as well as some pictures I forgot to include last time.

So yeah, thats it from me! I am missing home a lot and I am thinking I will be home for Christmas. (Before I thought I might travel until the money ran out, turns out it might be sooner than later!)
