Feeling rather tender this morning. We were granted a little sleep in so didnt get going till 9:00.

We went to the Bushmans centre at Pukekura. It was hilarious the dude who runs it is almost like some sort of Crocodial dundee character. He hates political correctnes so the whole centre is sarcastically set up with this in mind. The menu showed Venison pie was called bambi pie and all meat food names were replaced with their proper animal names (beef to cow, pork to pig ect). He had all the letters of complaints recived when a documentary was done on the work they did here (culling, darting and farming deer) hung up with his amusing responses. We watched a documentary on the work he used to do, which was essentialy (before darts and nets were used) to jump out of helicopters on top of retreating deer.

The museum was funny too With light switchs squirting water in your face and dead possums droping on you every time you opened a door. There was also a giant pig you could feed, although once this was done it just kealed over and slept. Had a large fryup here to soak up the beer from the previous evening.

The weather was terrible today (continuous heavy rain) so the planned walk around the Okarito lagoon was canceled.

We arrived early at the Frans Josef. We were driven to a viewing point to see the glacier there (which we were going to climb tomorrow.)

Tonight we were going to take it easy so we all chiped in and Danny made us a hugh curry. I was in charge of the rice. Everyone who walked past my pot kept commenting on the fact that there was way to much. Turns out I called it just right - ha (or more accuratly we're a bunch of greedy b*%t&@ds)!

Bed early.

Cheers bud
Thanks Andy but not in a good way. No Turmeric but that was probably a good thing since make so much rice I was bound to get the Termeric quantity wrong. Probably would have glowed in the dark!!!
