Hi Everyone....
Its been so nice to hear from you all, its nice to know I've not been forgotten yet!! I've been travelling exactly a month today, i can't believe it!!
I've had a great few days since my last blog, a mixture of lazy beaches, drinking, eating gorgeous food and meeting a gorgeous man!!
After the last blog i met up with Tanya and Amanda (the twins) and we went and did abit of shopping in the market followed by a well deserved meal. We decided to have a local meal experience and ate at a restaurant on the streets only frequented by locals. We all ordered something that we wouldn't normally entertain with mixed reactions! We had snails, eel curry, some weird pork dish and some deep fried crickets......mmmm crunchy!! After this we decided to have a few bevvies to rid the putrid taste of our meal so we went to a local bar where they brew their own beer and it costs 40p for a litre.....nice one!! Got sufficiently drunk, met loads of cool people and partied till the early hours!
The next morning with a pretty bad hangover i had to get my
Mui Ne Beach
Fishing boats bus to Mui Ne, when i arrived 4 hours later i realised i was in paradise! White sandy beaches, very few people around and i decided to treat myself to luxury accommodation at 5 quid a night (this is luxury to me when i've been spending 1.50 a night) which was gorgeous, beautiful pool, right on the beach, couldn't get much better!! See pics....
That afternoon, i met a group of people from Alderly Edge which was nice. It kind of makes you feel comforted to meet people who are from your area at home. Anyway, one of them Nick was quite hot and he made a bit of a beeline for me so i thought lucky me!! (number one snog of the holiday - sorry for any international readers who may not understand "snog", thats a kiss! I don't want anyone thinking I'm a girl with no morals, haha) I spent the next couple of days with them and just had a really nice couple of days relaxing on the beach, eating the best seafood (yummy!!!!!) and got taken on a great day trip by one of the locals!
Mr Binh, my tour guide for the day
Me and the twins
last night in Saigon, pretty drunk!! took me on his motorbike on a tour around the sights of Mui Ne. We went to 2 sets of sand dunes, red and white ones, I went sand boarding which was fun, we went to the red canyon and some fairy tower where i wished for good luck for family and friends (hope it works for you all!) The he took me to the country side to visit his relatives and they prepared me a gorgeous meal and were so hospitable to me, it was a lovely afternoon. Then I realised that they actually wanted me to marry Mr Binh! haha..... Anyway, i graciously declined the offer, then he dropped me off my hotel.
Yesterday I got on the bus (again) to Nha Trang, another beach resort but alot more lively which is nice after 3 days such quietness! I'm on my own again at the moment and last night i just had a quiet night, today i've just been on the beach for a while topping up the tan and tomorrow I'm booked on a boat tour of the islands so am sure i'll meet some people on that. Also, Carly and Chris from earlier in my
trip are meeting me tomorrow night as they arrive in Nha Trang tomorrow so that will be cool!
Again, sorry for the lack of pics, I'll add them next time i do a blog as its a bit of a pain to do it at the moment.
Hope you're all well....
Love
Suzie xxxxxx
