Yesterday morning we went to hells gate...not that hellish really! Its a thermal park with lots of sulphur lakes and hot mud pools. We were able to have a mud bath and tottaly smotthered ourselves in this for 20 mins after this we had a freezing cold shower then got into a sulpur pool for about another 20 mins so we alll look amazing now!! (ha ha) we were also shown how to do simple wood carvings and have been able to keep them. they are brill!
today we have done another long drive and are in Hicks bay we are staying at a place called Mels place which is on tradtional Maori site. Its has all been doen up with some mod cons but is very quaint and beautiful.
