Back to School!

Hi everyone! Its been a long time since I've posted anything, because for the last 10 days I was in a small town called Wellington. I was staying on a farm with a Home-Ec teacher from the school I was at. It was AMAZING... loads of kangaroos etc... I will definitely upload some pictures soon.

On the last night in Wellington, the Deputy Principal took us all out for dinner to a place called "Hot Rocks" where they serve you your dinner on a granite stone that has been in an oven for 8 hours. So you pretty much cook your own meal. The only veggie item on the menu was garlic bread, so I was very excited to learn the DP had called ahead to arrange a meal for me- my risoto and stuffed mushrooms were AMAZING! See Australia, vegetarian cooking isn't that weird!

School starts tomorrow, so today while we were at the beach, we made some plans for a bbq event at our house. A bunch of people came over and we hung out, ate, drank and then participated in an obstacle course in the back yard involving one of our grocery carts. It was organized by one of my roommates, and it was awesome. Albeit a little dangerous, considering it got pretty dark pretty quick. Myself and my roommate Robbie came third. (Even though "if you're not first, you're last" was the competition's motto.)

I received my first bit of mail! Heidi sent me a postcard from home! She wins the prize! If you write me, I will write you!

There isn't too much to report- I burnt my knees today. Every time I go to the beach I burn something weird. The first time, I missed applying sunscreen to my ankles and burnt both of them. Today, it was my knees! I will be more thorough with my sunscreen application in the future, I promise 😊

I'm SO mad!!
WHAT??? I sent you mail like 2 weeks ago!!! Why haven't you got it yet??? I hate the postal system!!! I am going to try and talk my brother into perhaps making a course in our backyard cause it sounded so fun!!! Love you!
