Wat in Chiang Mai
What Wat we cant remember! Found Bangkok to be way too hot and humid so yesterday we did no more than a trip to the bank, our washing and a chill out upstairs on the 5th floor. We left the hostel at 3.30am this morning and got to the airport early to put yet MORE shopping in our left luggage! After an hour flight we landed in Koh Samui. Although one part of the island is like Blackpool in the sun we have luckily found a really quiet spot and a real chill out place. Our hut is on the beach, no hot water (you dont need it!) we have a hammock on the verandah and 10 steps to a pure white soft sand beach and beautiful turquoise sea with coconut palms dipping down into it (lush!).
Had our first Thai massage today - thought she was tearing us limb from limb for an hour but boy you feel bloody good afterwards!
Have to be careful with the sun as J has burnt the tops of her feet and as we have arranged a 4 hour boat trip to some small islands for a spot of snorkelling its factor 20 tomorrow!
We have both
decided that the cycle trip in Bangkok is a no go as the heat is way too fierce and we found it a struggle to walk let alone cycle! Oh dear we have changed our flights now and have to spend longer on these blooming islands (shame!)
We will update after the boat trip and will now try to download some piccies for you to see from Bangkok (wish we were more computer literate!)
Elephants cant iron babe so Mum will have to come to Wales for a while! Love to you all missing you J and Mum xx
