Hi all,

I have found a great internet place so I can update you on my exciting life as a Florentine. The school has been going really well although the jump has been huge and I am a little bit slow in the uptake. I am looking forward to seeing Ben tomorrow and to prove it I am taking a 5.50am train to Roma.

I have been to an art museum that houses the works from the duomo in the heart of Florence. I am very proud to say that I can now recognise the different periods and types of artworks. Well Gothic, Roman and Rennaisance.

I have been having such fun with the couple that I live with because they are so friendly and have reccommended to me places to eat, things to do and I also went to the movies with them to see Manuale d'amore 2 the other night (in Italian of course). Sometimes I even laughed when every one else did.

I have been eating some expensive but nice foods of course dolci like Schiacciata di fiorentina. A sponge cake type thing that of course has an orange flavour. We have had a real cold snap here so I haven't eaten any gelato as of yet but there is Nutella everywhere. I have had nutella and pastry nutella and bread, nutella and waffles. I love it!

Tonight I am going out to dinner with some other students, we are looking for Mexican because we all like it and are sick of pizza so I will report back later.

Ciao Danielle
