Hi

The last time we spoke we were just about to have dinner after our first full day in NY. We went to a place called Mama Mexico which was amazing, they even made fresh guacamole right at our table and it was so good!!

On Wednesday we headed to south Manhattan to see Ground Zero, and then we walked the Brooklyn Bridge which was great but very cold!! After that we headed into Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and Greenwhich Village to have a look around. We had been told of a great pizza place called john's in Greenwhich Village but we couldn't find it anywhere and for such a famous place no one seemed to know where it was! So after an hours goose chase we gave up and ate in a local diner called Johnny Rockets, vowing to return to Greenwhich Village the next day armed with an address.

Thursday we went back down town and hopped on the Staten Island Ferry in order to soak up the views of the Statue of Liberty. After that we headed back up town and walked around Central Park where we took a horse and carriage ride around Central Park where it even started snowing!! We had then planned to go ice skating in the park but the snow had soon turned into rain so we decided to give it a miss. That evening we finally made it to John's pizza and realised that we had practically walked past it the day before! anyway it was well worth the wait, we shared a massive, very tasty pizza and the walls were covered in photos of famous people who had eaten there.

So now its friday and our NY adventure is pretty much over, next stop Toronto...

ps We promise there will be photos soon, just as soon as we get a decent amount of time in front of a computer.
