Bounty Island

This was the ticket, you could just tell. A much smaller island, Bounty was the location for the reality TV show “celebrity love island” and don’t you just know it when you get there!! Big pictures of all the celebrities that appeared on the show were hung up on the notice board in the dining area.

We had sunset drinks on the jetty. The Cocktails were good but the best bit for me was jumping off the roof of the boat into the water. We had a good evening having a few drinks in the bar chatting with Ashley & Brent and also some Aussie’s we had seen on the Big yellow boat Mark, Roxy and Megan. Hi guys cool to meet you and hope to see you in the New Year. Later on that evening and after a magical display on the dance floor with a balloon we got chatting to Marianne & Morten from Denmark who we hope to meet up with in New Zealand for Christmas lunch.

We had an early start the next morning as it was our last day. To start we went to explore the love island set. Most of the main living and swimming pool area had been pulled down and it wasn’t until we were down in the love shack that it dawned on us that the missing pieces of the set were now reassembled on the other side of the island at our resort!! Jo thought she recognized the taps in the bathroom and once we were back there you could see the old TV set as clear as day. Back in the love shack Jo had a great time sitting in the bath tub gazing out of the window wishing she was there with Beppe De Marco….. Puke!! After we had OD’ed on celebrity we continued on our walk and before we knew it were back at the resort. Late morning I went hand line fishing, while Jo had a massage. Having caught nowt I think Jo had by far the better experience. We finished off our stay with a really nice lunch before waving goodbye to everybody from our little transfer boat.

It was off to Matamanoa and I was starting to feel a little anxious as to whether it was going to be as good as it appeared on the website : S
