This update will be real short, mostly pictures. I just don't want to mix countries in my blogs but I stayed less than 24 hours in Croatia. But still, Dubrovnik is quite an amazing city.

I arrived in Dubrovnik after dark from Montenegro and after being assaulted by the grannies I picked the first one that lowered her price to something reasonable and followed her to a room which I shared with a japanese right in front of the bus station. I walked all the way to Dubrovnik Old Town. I had some good pizza and walked around a bit before settling to an irish pub. But it was a bit too early so the atmosphere wasn't great so after just one beer I left. Internet access was 4 euro an hour and I didn't feel like sitting around teh Old Town doing nothing for a few hours before the nightlife (if any at this time of the year) would start up so i just went back to my room, had a little chat with the very paranoid japanese and fell asleep.

There was only 2 buses a day to Mostar and I wanted to take the morning one so I woke up before dawn to go take a few pictures of Dubrovnik. There was a cool sunrise but I missed it, stupid me. The coast north of Dubrovnik is also pretty amazing. Not as nice as from Kotor to Dubrovnik but still really cool.

But I wasn't too keen on Croatia as Dubrovnik felt almost more touristy than Yangshuo except that everything was 10 times the price. But still, I'm happy I went because that's a very impressive medieval town. The coast looked beautiful but in the cold it's not that interesting as half the fun is swimming in the water. So I was off to Bosnia after a few hours in Croatia.

I was kicking myself for not staying longer on that hill. The sunrise was amazing but I missed it.

St. BLAISE'S CHURCH
The first picture titled "Cathedral" is, in fact, St. Blaise's church. You cannot have two cathedrals in one town. The "cathedral 2" is the real cathedral. By the way, a few days ago (Feb 3) was St. Blaise's feast. St. Blaise is the patron saint of Dubrovnik, and his feast has been celebrated for over 1040 years now.
