I told her not to sit here!I told her not to sit here!I told her not to sit here!

Jo getting wet on the ferry from Koh Pha Ngan to Koh Samui.
Not much to say about here as we stayed in Chaweng Beach area which we thought was pants after coming from a nice area in Koh Pha Ngan. It was dirty, sleezy, smelly and expensive. All the Thai's seemed grumpy and gave out a lot of grief to tourists, and to top all that the weather was pants. We paid about 800 Baht for a basic clean room. We were only here 2 nights and spent one eve talking to some cool guys from Nottingham about their travels and stories. Not much else to say, but don't think we would ever come back here!
We left pretty pronto for Phuket, and had a seriously knightmare of a long journey to get there. We got picked up at 6am and were transferred to a local bus depot. We were then crammed on like cattle onto a local bus to take us over on the ferry and then back to Surratanni in order to get a mini bus to Phuket. We were supposed to get there at 3pm and eventually arrived at 8pm !!! This was due to the travel agent constantly lying to us about waiting for some other guys who missed the bus, but what we really reckon was that they didn't want to do 2 trips to Phuket so made us wait around their tiny cafe for the second ferry arrival. The B**tards! also said that we would be taken straight to Patong Beach via no stops for sales but this wasn't the case and delayed our trip even more. We really weren't happy at this point and i was whingy! We began to realise that this was becoming common nature and Thai travel tour industry only sees you as money and has no concern for level of service. Also the driver nearly rolled the mini bus on route as he was prob really tired. One cool thing came from this though and we met up with a realy cool couple from Sweden, called Mattias and Sandra! We spent most of our Journey chatting with them and when we finally arrived in Phuket they sorted us out with some wicked cheap accomodation in Patong Beach! More about our latest adventures in the next Blog, coming soon!
