The direct neighbourhood of our surprisingly well-located airbnb revealed a wealth of cultural opportunities. Though coming and going was a challenge because of all the stairs up to the apartment we had, once on the street we could set out in any direction with great results.

This one is for you, Bonnie Z.G. Can you believe it? Have a close look at the intricate figures on it.

It's interesting to see that his position, with his right hand to his cheek, is so like the statues of the dying Buddha. But the sword in his left hand gives a quite different impression.

Post-museum sore feet.
Well it certainly looks as though those sore feet were worth it; some great photos. I've never been to Budapest but you've given me the idea that I'd like to!! Keep on enjoying yourselves despite all the steps; we fully understand how hard they can be, one of our stays in NYC was in an apartment on the fourth floor with no stairs!! M xx
