I just returned from traveling the east coast of Sri Lanka for almost 2 weeks by car all by myself looking for new sites and attractions. Now I am thinking of heading back since i am more familiar with the territory, people, lodging ...etc., in order to develop some ideas i have in mind. This time, i hope to be better educated about my camera so i could do some good photography (anything and everything that is interesting and catches my eye). I hope to be out there for about 4-5 days covering areas between Ampara and Mullaitivu. So there will be many stops along the way, tea breaks, networking and befriending the locals to name a few. If you want to travel with me, let me know. You have to split the gas and boat rides (discovering the lagoons)
I start the journey from Colombo and then through Kandy, Mahiyanganaya, Maha Oya to Chenkalady about 16 kms north of Batti. Then move south or north considering the weather. I plan on doing some boat rides to discover the area wich will be an awesome experience as most people only see the areas which roads take them. East is full of lagoons. I hope to discover it by boat and throw in my fishing line and try my luck whilst touring. So i will be hanging out with some local fisherman, especially in the nights. If you like traveling, fishing, camping, see food, discovering the east coast lagoons by boat, i think you will love this journey. Also, i plan on eating lots of prawns/shrimp which is only about YS$ 2.15 per killo. Yeeeeaha!
