1) I guess I'm a little slow, but I don't understand how to rate photos on this site
2) How do I get my photos rated?
I am not asking the criteria used to rate photos, but the logistics of it; e.g., where do I find photos to rate? What button do I push or area do I click to rate? Is there a place to leave comments on why a rating was assigned?
I think I have some good photos in my blogs, but would like to see if others concur or receive critique on how to improve. I just am not clear on how to go about all this. For answers, please assume I know nothing and you will be right!

To rate photos, one must be signed in (only Travelblog Members can rate photos). Click on the relevant photo and on the right you will see the rating. If you hover your mouse over the stars you can rate a photo as either 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 stars.
A good way to promote your better photos is to post them in some of the photo threads - for example sunsets, mountains, food, flowers, rainbows. If you browse the photography forum, you will see them listed. To post a photo, just copy the photo id and post it in the thread.

Once you receive ratings it will appears as "Top Photo" on the right hand section side of your profile page,, underneath your Travelblog Awards. One photo is already there, it is of two antelope.

Welcome to travel blog. I've read a few of your blogs and I am enjoying them. You've been busy exploring the U.S. Many will be able to get some helpful hints from your blogs.
I especially enjoyed your blog on the McDonald Observatory at Ft. Davis

Shane did a great job of explaining how photos get rated. Just click on any photo on the site and you can rate it.
When others have rated your photos they will show up on your home page.
Another option is to go to the control panel-----
In the middle top of the page you will see a button that says rate 15 random photos. I like to do this once or twice a day. It will show you random photos from fellow bloggers and you can rate them.
When I am rating I often see a photo I like and I click on the title of the blog and I'm off reading a new blog.
