Looking for experienced female traveler, for Trans Siberian Railway trip in Spring of 2013. We travel Dutch, strictly platonic, and stay away from all night vodka marathons! I love to write and take photos, but need a travel buddy who can pay her own way. As they say, it is the journey, not the destination......
The trip is still in the planning stage, as I am concentrating right now on a big trip to several African countries, along with some safaris, and a stay with friends. I want to go from Vladivostok to Moscow, which is "opposite" most travelers. The trip is normally 8 days, non stop, but I want to stop at least 4 times, including Lake Baikal. I would also like to spend some time (a few days) in Japan before (optional for you), and St. Petersburg after (also optional, but how can you possibly not). I am not a big fan of traveling steerage, and would opt for some kind of upgraded roomette or mini-suite. No vodka marathons, just some light drinking if that is possible.
