The Belarus travel tips section of the Minsk Guide website is divided into Immigration, Transportation, Money and Other sections that contain all the possible FAQs that a tourist has when preparing his trip to Belarus. Reply to this

Hi Andrei,

Your website is really good - Belarus is a country which really interests me and as I'm trying to visit every country in Europe one that I will get to eventually. I agree with your post about the visa situation as I've looked into travelling to Minsk a few times and the hassle and cost has meant I've booked elsewhere.

Lets hope the decision makers made the right choice and make it easier for tourists. Either way, Minsk is definately on my list for 2013 if not later this year.

Best Regards,
Rob

Oh thank you very much! I would appreciate if you click a Google+ button at the bottom)

As for visas to Belarus - the procedure is really easy:

a) book a hotel and ask them for a booking confirmation - the paper can be used instead of an invitation letter to obtain a 10-day visa;

b) ask a travel agency to book a hotel and send you an invitation - the invitation paper can be used to apply for a 30-day long visa;

c) put your local friend's details into the visa application and get a guest visa valid up to 90 days.

Mail the documents to the embassy of Belarus and get them back in a week.
