If anyone is planning a wild adventure, check Ariau Amazon Tower.
There are monkeys, parrots and macaws hanging out around the hotel grounds. They are pretty friendly and enjoy being fed fruit. Ariau Amazon Towers is a great base camp to explore the Amazon. The guides keep you on a comfortably paced schedule and are willing to make minor changes to accommodate the desires of the group. Food is buffet style and representative of Amazon cuisine. Fresh fruit, breads are availalble at every meal, as well as meats, fish, veggies and pastas. Activities include a jungle trek, trip to local village, craft shops, pirhana fishing and cayman spotting. For $15, you are also able to swim with the pink dolphins; a trip worth the extra. Rooms with A/C included.
