Hi I am working in the UK (Indian Origin) and am organising a trip to India from around Dec 27 to roughly 12 Jan 2011. So far it me my GF from France, and a couple of other Friends from UK/France.
As of now the plan is to travel west (Bombay/Goa) and then head south (kerela, Cochin Etc). The itenary is not yet finalised and am trying to make the best of this 2-3 week trip while trying to keep it as inexpensive as possible. This will be my GF's first trip to India and hence I plan to make it a mixture of Luxary / Real India experience ranging from Elephant rides / Rickety Busses / Scenic Train Journeys and what ever I can add to it. If anyone facies such a trip do get in touch. Will be happy to have a few more people with us to add to the Fun!

Hello friend,
Really it's a great plan to travel in India. Because India is a combination of both luxurious and religious country. There are a lot of religious place in India where you can travel and gain some knowledge about Indian culture. Hope your travel will be success.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have a trip to India from early December to roughly 11 Jan 2011. The trip will mainly be in the South of India, so we will be in the same general area! I would be nice to travel with a few fellow travellers for a while!

Hello,
I'm heading to India with a few friends in December 2010. I've heard the south is amazing but were also taking some time to see the less known places like Gorakhpur and even Manipur on the Bangladesh/Myanmar border.
if you can squeeze it in, it is definitely a worthwhile trip for the avid traveler. Reply to this

Hi Sumit,

I'm planning a 3 weeks trip to South India from early - end of December. I am an independent female traveller, from the UK in my early 30s. Elephant rides / Rickety Busses / Scenic Train Journeys sounds great. The itinerary is not set in stone yet but Mumbai & Kerala are definitely on the list. Would be happy to join up with your group if we are in the same location at the same time.

@urquel...buddy, you want to squeeze in what? Gorakhpur...is in far north atleast 1500 Kilometers north to Mumbai (give or take a few hundred);

Manipur is 3000 KM to north east (give or take a 500) and Bangladesh/Myanmar is the ends of earth...figuratively/relatively speaking Reply to this

Hi, I'm a 27 year old female and doing a bit of work before I travel around a lot more of India. I'm hoping to be in Goa at the end of November and working at Animal Tracks rescue centre. It'd be great to meet up if you're in Goa as I've never been before and it'd be nice to meet some people.

Hey I'm 21 years old, male from Sweden. I'm travelling to Mumbai from the 28th of Dec to 6th of Janurary. Will u be in Mumbai during that week? Or do the dates differ drastically? Let me know if or not you are in Mumbai during this time so we may get in touch.

Hello,

I just returned from a very good trip to India (Delhi - Rajasthan + Agra, and Varanasi - Delhi). I did the first part (Rajasthan) by car with driver and I can only recommend it ....and my driver! Level value for money there is no better. Indeed, I could compare it with all the backpackers we have meet on the spot!

I've had for 50 € / day (two) in a good car -> Toyota Innova, with air conditioning and a very comfortable seat in the back! This is equivalent to 2950Rps/jour what seems to be very reasonable! Beyond this price, our driver "Raju" (pronounced Raju) was particularly nice, interesting and very good driver!

I can only recommend, we were two and we could choose our whole route, there was no trick, Raju has ever proposed a hotel unless they asked. In short, you're free and in addition, it serves very good guide!

I give you their contact information to the wise....
