I'm going to spend 9 weeks in East Africa and I'll start my journey in Johannesburg . I'm travelling alone, but meeting friends on my way. The only thing I have planned so far is to go to the Lake of Stars festival in Malawi in October. I'd love to catch up with and get to know other people on my way. I haven't planned anything in SA so far, but these things are on my want-to-do-list so far:: - drink a lot of good wine - visit Cape Town - meet interesting people

Reply to this Hi, I'm not sure if we'll overlap at all but maybe we can make it work. I'm living in Zambia and planning to head north in mid-september. I was thinking Zambia to Tanzania to Burundi to Rwanda to Uganda to Kenya to Kilimanjaro to Dar Es Salaam and Zanzibar. From there down to Malawi (I wasn't going to make it there till November I don't think) anyways...thats probably way more than 9 weeks from your start...but I'm traveling alone and would love to have some company (I'm assuming at the moment that I'll meet some people on the way). Let me know if you think you'll make it up that far.
