I made initial contact by email but did not get any real information beyond this other than a request for contact through skype. I would have thought there was a web site or at least more details forthcoming in some form? Reply to this

I was also asked to contact through skype, which is probably a very normal way to comunicate in poorer places.

Most people I met in Cambodia and Vietnam use skype.

However I was offered to enrol at a web site and after doing so - (the usual name and password and email address to verify) I could then not log into the site and I am now front page on their site with quotes and prices I didnt commit to but they are using my profile and I cant change it as my login details have 'apparently' expired, however they are still using my entire profile to attract pupils.

very interesting, was this with this contact or another? Anyhow i think I will leave it as i am busy for the next year so it was only a possibility for the future and there is always something else popping up. Were they expecting you to pay to do it? Like those pay to volunteer things i see sometimes, What a racket they are as you can go and volunteer in enough places and get free food and accommodation without having to pay to do it. I guess if someone is silly enough to pay for something they don't need to someone else will be out there ready to sell it to them.Out of interest what web site are you referring to? Reply to this

Maybe there is some misse dcommunication on my part but the site will not let me change my status and they have added fees to my profile.

The site was

http://www.tutorjob.cn/en_index.asp

and yes thats me on the front page apparently charging a very reasonable $20 an hour.

I volunteered. That is somewhat less than the quoted price and I cant get into the site to change it and the site administrator will not respond to my messages.

Anyway, probably not the first time someone has been mis-represented in China. Reply to this
