hi there everyone, last night my dog chewed my boyfriends M2 memory card :S
it is not damaged as much i can still put it into my phone but then it says \"warning all content on memory stick will be lost.. format anyway\" and the option yes or no so im not sure if i should format it just incase i do lose everything, but i got a recovery programme but i don\'t know if i should risk it or buy a card reader to see what can be done...any ideas should i format and use software to get back whats lost? Hi - don't format - don't do anything to it other than run the recovery via a card reader - the more you do the less likely you'll get things back.

Once it's in a card reader see what is available - you may have to run recovery software - I'd suggest treating it like a damaged memory card for a digital camera - see this topic for more details: How to rescue photos from a formatted or damaged memory card.

Good luck getting things back.
