anyone heading toward chile, bolivia, peru or panama, costa rica, nicaragua, guatemala, honduras, etc. in DECEMBER 08/January 09?

I'll be studying spanish in Buenos Aires, Argentina from september to november and then planning on working my way through chile bolivia and peru and then flying to panama and working my way through as much as of central america as possible.

I'm plannin on going to South America for a few months, starting in November 2008. The tentative plan, for now, is Ecuador -> Bolivia -> Peru -> Chili -> Argentina, and maybe a few other countries if time and money permit. Interested?

Definitely. Although, I'll be in Argentina until Nov. 28th and then I'll be going to Chile, Bolivia, and then to Peru. So I'm kind of traveling in the opposite direction. But we could probably cross paths at some point.

You might have left by now... I am planning on studying spanish in BA in January 2009. What school will you be studying at? Please let me know if you have any recommendations!

No I'm still in BA. As far as recommendations I'm studying at CUI which is part of UBA. I'm in a program through GIC Argentina but there are lots of spanish schools here and you can probably find one a lot cheaper by not going through GIC. Oh, and remember that January and February are there summer months and their hottest months.

I may be very interested!! I'm leaving Bs. As. on Nov. 28th and wanted to stop in mendoza on my way over into chile. how long will you be in chile and how long do you plan on staying in peru?
Reply to this I'll be in Chile from 6 Dec for a week or so. Then I was planning in taking a bus heading north (not sure if through Chile or Argentina/Bolivia), but arriving to Cuzco and Lima. I might make it as far as Ecuador, and maybe take a boat trhough the Amazon river heading south. The Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and maybe Brasil. I have 68 days in total, and I plan to use local buses, trains and boats.
