Geo: -34.8939, -56.1568Another bad sleep - these beds are so short! The worst part is that because it's a bunk bed, my feet couldn't even hang off the edge of the bed. It was also hot, and when you shut off the light, it would continue to flicker every so often - pretty annoying when trying to fall asleep. Mano en la Playa "Hand on the beach" - I expected it to be more impressive. The same artist created a similar, but more famous work in Chile.

Tonight's chivito - the bread was dry, and it wasn't even filling. Good thing I spotted that bakery and gelato shop earlier, because I'll definitely be making use of them after dinner! The service started out well, but degenerated into crap later on. I had decided to leave no tip, but then a girl took over from my waiter, and she was quite friendly, so I didn't want to stiff her for the previous waiter's incompetence.

The chivito wasn't sufficient, so off to the bakery for some more food - I had a couple of soft and chewy macaroons. Not too sweet, they were quite delicious.

I also had a cookie or cake sandwich - whatever it was, it was dry. It was filled with a sickly-sweet jam, coated in chocolate, and rolled around in chopped nuts.

Real estate ad - a penthouse apartment with 3 bedrooms for $400,000 Uruguayan pesos, the equivalent of $20,000 CAD!!! I need to move here - cheap real estate, beaches, great beef, beautiful women ... what's not to love?

Colin Mackay! I don't normally take pictures of topless guys while traveling, but hey, you gotta do it when you run into a friend from home! Come to think of it, I don't take pictures of topless women while traveling, either - but that's only because none of them will let me :(
