The view from our hike. If you look closely, you can see the crowd of protesters. This is the first time we saw them.

Trouble begins... they did not like us taking pictures! But in all fairness, they did strand us in their bland town with nothing to do. When the peruvians give you lemons...

This is in the courtyard of our hostel on Wednesday with the stranded travelers on lockdown. Most of them were Brits... made for a lengthy, yet entertaining stay :)

Taken from outside the internet cafe... freedom at last. We left for bolivia an hour later.

The group of stranded travelers from our bus. We all bonded, and it was sad to leave them today.

They came to see us off. I gave them my only pack of skittles (which upset liz), and they posed for a pretty adorable picture.

This was the hostel from the outside as we were leaving. You can kind of see the family that took care of us sitting to the left of it.

I tried to take this from a moving bus, so it was a bit blurry. But still spectacular.

It was FREEZING. We got there at 7am. Waiting to cross the bridge over Titicaca from Peru to Bolivia.
