Huanchaco is a small coastal village about ten mins taxi away from the city of Trujillo. Not much here except the fishing boats and restaurants which line the beach, but very pleasant none the less! Have eating Chicharon (fried pieces of fish) and Ceviche (cured fish with lemon and chilli) which are nice in small doses and served seemingly everywhere. Can´t say I could live on the current diet he... Read Full Entry

The ´collectivo´ bus journey

Extremely rickety and a cheap ride, these buses can just about reach 30mph if the wind is blowing in the right direction!

Ancienttt!
Hi there explorer! Glad you're still Ok and not been stolen or anything. Those pics are really good - make the most of that glorious 'summer' weather 'cause its a lot more than you're gonna get here! Its still raining, and some parts of Doncaster are still flooded as the water has nowhere to drain away! Its the wettest June since 1914 apparently. Margaret Lomas brought me a bunch of flowers for feeding Fluffy on Monday evening. Dads car packed up again that same evening and he was unable to get to his night class. It's been in the garage today (Wednesday) but they can't find anything wrong with it. Maybe the electrics have got fed up with all the wet! They charged £135! Tried to order the Traveling Wilburys Deluxe 3 CD set which originally cost £19.95 on Amazon and now its £99 and no way am I paying that. Its a limited edition (numbered) and been sold out so if you see it, get it (if normal price) - It has to be the collectors edition though, you can easily get the standard set. Someone has made a great deal of money on it. Last night me & dad went picking bilberries in the rain - it wasn't much fun and the gnats were still biting despite the rain. We're supposed to be going to the Hampton Court Flower show on Saturday. I'm told the car park is a quagmire! Your wage slip arrived yesterday, but not checked it yet - £487.88 Chan Chan looked pretty eerie as did that 'Lune place which I had never heard of and not seen on your itinerary. Glad to see you on the photos too and keep up the Spanish - have a paddle in the sea for me.... Love from your Ma and the other three....x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.

Wow, those are some amazing pictures, look like you're having a load of fun now that your plane problems have been bridged. Lol, Don Miguel is much more fitting for you in Peru, I hope you've taught your travel buddies to call you by your rightful title ;) Take care man and have fun.
