Hello All-

Internet is a little scatchy here and I don´t have much time so this is short but more to come.

We made it to Cusco. It is absolutly amazing. Words cannot descibe what it was like watching the Andes come into view as they would peak out above the clouds. Cusco is nesstled inbetween the muntians as is every city here. As we came in to land, swooping around the mountian tops, tears came to my eyes.

We are in Urabamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Sadly i must go but I´ll write more later. Love you all!!! Adios

I am an Anthropology major at the University of Iowa with only one semester left, which I am going to spend in Peru. I have never been in a total emersion expereince in a foriegn language country although I should be ok after 8 yrs of spanish. I am very excited to do some cultural anthropology there, interviewing the Indigenous persons there about the effects of globalization on their traditional lives. ... full info
