1: Rich and Jane Wedding Vid 24 secs
Hi everyone!

Finally we have worked out how to do this travel blog thing and keep 'Down with the kids'!

Hope you are all ok!

Rich and Jane- hope you had a wonderful wedding day. Please see attached video message recorded a few days before.....we havent been able top upload it until now!

Without having to back date too much we have had a great two weeks in Peru. After a long flight and spending 5 days in Cusco and seeing the local sights we headed off on our 5 day trek to Machu Picchu via the Salkantay glacier at 4600m altitude. It was really tough going and both of us had to give in on the first uphill day and succumb to the emergency mule to give uas a 10min help up the mountain! After 7hours we finally arrived at our first campsite. It was possibly the coldest night we have EVER had but waking up under the glacier in the morning was amazing. In the morning we headed to our summit and then headed 6 hours downhill (which we thought would be easier..out thighs didnt think so!) and arrived in a much more comfortable climate trekking through cloud forest. Throughout the next 3 days we camped at local villages and visited some local hot springs which were the best thing after practiucally not being able to move our muscles! Finally the last day we hit MAchu Picchu and it truly lives up to iuts reputation....we would post some photos but typically managed to forget (or at least thought we had forgotton) our camera! Waiting on photos from some of the lovely people who were in our our group!

Loved the video! And the card! Thanks so much for it and the presents - you shouldn't have! Had an amazing time even though I was 35 minutes late due to a suprise horse drawn carriage from my parents that wanted to go very slowly.... Had a great time in Kenya as well. Loving your pics - it brings back Peru memories. Looks like you are having a great time... you deserve it. Big hugs xxx Jane xxx
