Day 56

We got up bright and early and were ready to meet our group for the long awaited Machu Picchu trek. We got to the hotel at noon and sat down with the group for a quick briefing with our guide, the legendary Ali. He explained what we would be doing each day and what we needed to take and how much to money to take etc. Then he left and said to be up early in the morning for a 8:30 leave.

The rest of the day we chilled in Cusco with Laura and Helen and in the evening went back up to the Loki hostel for an evening of Kings Cup and live music before rolling in to the hotel about 4:30am, not good when you are trekking for the next week!
