Our last day in the Amazon. It rained most of the day today. A nice way to end our trip in the rainforest. The other days it rained but not continually like today. It finally let up at night and we got to go on a Night Hike. We got into groups and with a guide went into the jungle at night. We saw lots of frogs sleeping on leaves. We heard tapirs. Well our guide heard tapirs and assured us they were near. We also saw mushrooms that glowed in the dark. On the way back our guide had us all turn off our flashlights and we walked back in the pitch dark. We all held hands and slowly manoeuvred around trees and under vines. I’m sure the whole time our guide was laughing at us. He seemed to have no problem walking in the dark. We eventually got back and were the last group back by an hour and a half.
