Having a pint at the Four Faced Liar
Before even getting to JFK, Mom, Dad and I acting like we're properly on vacation.Just touched down in Guayaquil, Ecuador about to connect to our flight to Lima.
Unexpectedly, we were upgraded to first class for our flight from JFK to Ecuador, which, given that our flight took off at 11:55 (really 12:30), was incredibly fortunate. We went from wondering whether or not we would be able to catch any sleep on our international red-eye to being fully reclined with a standard-sized pillow and quilt and sleeping like a baby. I also had 3 pisco sours and a Xanax...that might have helped.
Either way, we all got 6 full hours of sleep which is far more than we expected. Our layover is only for about another half an hour and then we'll be off to Lima, Cuzco and Machu Picchu.
