Rode Quito's Teleferico (cable car) from the valley floor at 2800m into the hills at 4100m. Super views of the city on the way up. Seeing white patches in the grass near the top we thought it had snowed! It turned out to be hail from the previous night's storm. Treked for about 3 hours in the beautiful and deserted countryside. We both found it easier than the walk up Gua Gua Pinchincha - I think we´re acclimatising to the altitude.

In the evening we had a salsa lesson on the hostal terrace. This was followed by another trip to the pool hall, this time with crazy Al, one of the employees at the hostal. Cuba libras were off the menu.
