Back in Texas it was snowing.

However, here on the equator it was... well... hot. We returned mildly sweaty from the store to discover that a package of 100 tiny cupcake papers had been accidentally placed in our bag by the grocery-store checker. The idea brewed in Sandra's mind that she could make her own snow. She set about diligently separating the little papers into a modest snow bank. Soon they were flying through the air in a fun "snow day".

This was an idea that was still too small. After all, in Texas they were having A LOT of snow.

So the next day we once again braved the equatorial sun to return to the store for more papers. This time Sandra bought 1000 papers. The following photos hardly capture the fun you can have for about 95 cents.

Not often you can be in the snow with your shoes off!
