From Santa Cruz we took a speedboat over to the island Isabela, which is the biggest island in the Galapagos (4 times the size of Santa Cruz). Though it has the largest land area, it has one of the smallest populations. Isabela is famous for it´s volcanoes, however these sites are located far apart and are usually only visited by people with longer itineraries. We were to be only Isabela for only 3 nights, and spent most of that time exploring the small town via the dirt roads. Our hotel was right on the main beach, where we could walk for 5kms in the rolling waves.
