Feeling very unhealthy after 10 days in Montanita lounging on the beach and drinking cocktails, we were ready to cleanse our bodies and souls in Baños. Lots of healthy food, hot soaks in mineral springs and physical activities. Imagine how disappointed we were when, on day 1, the town evacuation siren went off indicating for all to vacate the town as the volcano was about to erupt! So what did we do........ we climbed the nearest mountain to get a closer look!!
