So........ my bag was stolen and we headed to the capital...Bogota, to sort out a new passport at the embassy. Its a bit of an ongoing joke that wherever we go there always seems to be somebody looking after us, take this dog for example, he followed us all the way to the entrance of the park (about an hour and a half) waiting for us impatiently if either one of us lagged behind.

This night we emptied the villa of rum, learnt the international drinkin rules and ended up with beaks for noses.

This was one of the cleaners from our hostal in Bogota who grew particually attached to us, she even had tears in her eyes as we were leaving.

in our last night in Bogota there was a power cut in the hostal so we got out the guitars, candles and obviously the trusted head torch.

Great effort,girls. Fantastic to read so much about what you've been up to these last few weeks in Colombia - and the pictures bring it all alive. You seem to have met so many interesting people and made some good friends. Can't believe this is only half of it, either, Watch out Peru, Boliviar.... here they come! Hey jess had to look twice as just did not recognise you... been a long time since we got together, looks like having a great time.. not at all jealous as i sit here in my clinic feeling bumps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bit freaked out by some of the pictures of old men, but glad that you seem to be being looked after. only a short message today as still in clinic will look u up now have rel info and keep up to date with your journey.... love always me...xxxxx
