Our last few days in Chile were spent with family in Santiago.
And what a city it is..... 6 Million(ish) people, crazy congestion, chaotic traffic, pollution to clog your pores, all sprawled across a valley in the shadow of the Andes...
We had some lovely nieces to catch up with and a new baby great nephew to meet, and a little time left to see the sights. But what we saw was quite special.
Wednesday night in Barrio Bellavista was a highlight. Bellavista is kind of like a Fitzroy, Newtown or Northbridge (for Aussies) but with a multiplier to suit such a big city.....
There was music and street arts, a humming little cafe scene, buskers aplenty, a jazz concert sponsered by the European Union on the Patio, painting lessons and lots of Santiaguinos soaking up the fun.
I loved the street art and the vibrant city!
